Photography has been a passion of mine for many years, allowing me to create images that I feel a genuine connection with. Throughout my journey, I've had many people ask for advice on cameras, techniques, editing, and photography in general. It made me realise that sharing my experiences and the lessons I've learned over the years might help others on their own photographic journey.

Every photographer starts somewhere. For many of us, it begins with simple snapshots on our phones—capturing family, friends, holidays, and those special moments that we'd like to remember. As our interest grows, so does our curiosity, and before long we find ourselves wanting to understand how to create images that tell a story or evoke emotion.

This blog is my way of sharing what I've learned along the way. I'll be covering everything from camera techniques and composition to editing, equipment, and the creative side of photography. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your skills, I hope you'll find something here to inspire you.

Photography is a journey of continuous learning, and no one ever knows everything. So, if you have any questions about my posts, photography in general, or would simply like some advice, please feel free to get in touch. I'd be more than happy to help where I can.

This photograph of a grey squirrel surrounded by bluebells was one of those moments. B...

Autumn at the Falls: Photographing the Beauty of the Brecon Beacons There are places where the landscape seems to slow everything down, where the sound of water, the colour of the trees and the stillness of the surrounding woodland make you forget about everything beyond the scene in front of you. This waterfall in the Brecon Beacons was one of th...

The Storm Of Life

The Storm of Life Life is rarely a calm sea. There are moments when everything feels settled — when the horizon is clear, the water is gentle and we can see exactly where we are going. Then, sometimes without warning, the sky darkens. The wind rises, the waves begin to build, and suddenly we find ourselves caught in a storm we never expected. Thi...

The Courage to go higher

There is something extraordinary about watching two aircraft fly together in perfect formation. Add two wingwalkers standing high above the wings, surrounded by open sky and trailing smoke, and the scene becomes about far more than aviation. It becomes a picture of courage, trust and the determination to keep reaching new heights. I captured this...
